How to Decide on the Perfect Paint and Painting Method

15 October 2011 No Comment

You may have moved into a new home with a mismatched paint scheme, or you may have just grown tired of your last paint job. Either way, if you have decided that it is time for you to redo the paint in your home, the first thing you need to do is pick the perfect color matches. If you are unsure where to start, here are some ideas to get things going.

1. Match the Furniture. Unless you plan on buying new furniture for your house, take your decorations and theme into consideration. Replacing all of the furniture is too expensive, so just find the colors that will blend in with everything. Also, think of border colors that can help to accentuate the room.

2. Consider your Price Range. If you have a broad selection of paint colors and types that you can choose from, narrow things down by finding the best bargains.

3. Ask for Professional Advice. If you find that you are still clueless as to what colors that you want, try going to your local home improvement depot and consult an employee for their professional advice and opinions.

Whenever you decide on the paint colors that you want, then you can focus on the method you will use to paint. You can use a traditional roller if you’d like, but you can also use what is known as a Paint Zoom. This product is like spray paint, but with a much cleaner and crisper look.

You can learn more about it by looking for a Paint Zoom customer review online. There are different brand names, so you can also check out the Wagner Power Painter.
